Sometimes, you do not want to disclose your cell phone number while sending somebody a text message. Unfortunately, cell phones do not give you the option to specify a sender ID/screen name instead of the cell phone number. You can, however, choose to send the message from the Internet. Not only is your phone number hidden from the recipient, but you also save money, as Web SMS services are free.
Using Fakemsg
- 1Go to the website and click on "New User? Register."
- 2Provide your name, email address and other required information for signing up.
- 3Log in to the account using the username and password you created in the previous step.
- 4Enter your screen name in the "Sender" field. You can choose whatever you want.
- 5Enter the recipient's phone number in the "To" field. Make sure you enter the country code as well.
- 6Type in the message in the text box, and click "Send."
Using SendSMSNow
- 1Go to the website SendSMSNow.
- 2Select the recipient's country from the drop-down list, followed by his cell phone number in the respective field.
- 3Enter your screen name in the "From" field.
- 4Enter the message in the respective box, and click "Send SMS." Your SMS will be sent to the recipient.
Using Send-SMS-Now
- 1Go to the website Send-SMS-Now and select the recipient's country to specify the particular country code.
- 2Choose the recipient's network operator from the list. If you don't know which network operator it is, leave it blank.
- 3Enter the recipient's phone number (without country code and area code).
- 4Enter your screen name in the "From" field. Type in the message in the "Message" field. If you want, you can add emoticons from the list.
- 5Enter the validation code as shown in the image on the web page. After you click "Send Message," the SMS will be delivered to the recipient with your screen name.
