This article tells you the trick to make the recycle bin icon placed in your desktop to make it disappear.As By default the recycle bin icon is placed at the desktop.So then if you would like to remove this icon for some reason ,then Here are the steps to remove icon from your desktop..

- Go to Registry editor by going to START -> Run ->(Type in “regedit”) and ENTER.
- Next expand the tree to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerDesktopNameSpace“.
- Now you will see an entry called {645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}.
- Now right click and delete this entry and your recycle bin icon will disappear from the desktop.
- To restore the recycle bin simply undo the changes from registry backup or add a new string value called Recycle bin in that place.
