How to Sync Browser Tabs Across Devices and Browsers

Have you ever found yourself in a situation where you’ve gone from one computer to another which makes you have to reopen all your programs and browser windows? Most of us have been, and if you have lots of browser tabs open, it can take some time to get everything back the way you had it.
One solution is to email yourself all the links before you switch computers, but this isn’t ideal. Fortunately, there is a service called Surfon which allows us to get access to all our browser tabs on different devices and browsers. Let us see how.

What is Surfon?
Surfon is a very simple and handy extension for your browser that enables you to access your browser tabs on the go. It helps you to seamlessly save tabs and and page links from one device or browser and open them on another. Follow the link to install extensions for Chrome, Firefox or Safari.

Before you get going, you will also have to sign up for the service.

Know Your Surfon
Once you have created an account and downloaded the add-on for your browser, you will find it residing on your toolbar with an “S” like icon.

This small and powerful icon is your key to seamless computing for all your internet links. When you click on the icon, a menu will pop out. Though the names are self-explanatory, I have numbered them from 1-4 so that I
can take you through. With the first option, you can save only the current page/tab that is open. The second option lets you save all the tabs open in a window with a single click. The third option is interesting and plays a big role in movement among computers. Hitting this will load all the saved tabs at once. With the last option, you may open the list of saved tabs and select individual links to open one at a time.

Surfon Options
When you save pages or tabs and reload you surfon account or log into it using a different computer or browser, you will see something like in the picture below.
This gives you a preview of your saved tabs. If you wish to remove any entry, click on the “X” icon besides it.
Going to settings for the extension lets you choose whether you want your new pages to load on
a new tab or a new window. Further, if you ever happen to hide your icon or see it disappeared from the toolbar, you can bring it back by going to Tools>Extensions.

Conclusion
The good thing about Surfon is that it only provides as much as needed. It provides a simple service in a simple way, and this service saves times and prevents you from emailing links to yourself.
