How to Monitor your system with Taskbar Meters

Like to keep a tab on your system stats? If you’re running Windows 7, you might want to use Taskbar Meters. Instead of displaying your processor utilization, ram usage or hard drive I/O in a window or on the desktop, this nifty app sits in your Windows Superbar and show your system status using a colored progress bar.
The program works as intended; no instructions needed. Simply download them, put them somewhere on the hard disk and pin them to the taskbar. Don’t forget to run them at every login, or add it to your list of start-up programs. Once it’s open, you should see something similar to this:

The progress bar indicates the CPU/RAM load percentage. Once it’s too high, the normally green bar will turn yellow or red.

Taskbar Meters is available in three flavors:
-CPU Meter
-RAM Meter
-Hard drive read/write
Personally I find this more useful than a desktop widget or opening the task manager all the time. It saves screen space, effort and is always visible.
Taskbar Meters can be customised. You can change the percentage to turn the bar yellow or green to your will using the slider bars.
You can download it for free at codeplex.com. Enjoy!
