We wrote about playing YouTube videos directly in VLC Player. Which doesn’t work for everyone. Searching for another way to Play YouTube videos on Desktop, I found this nice application which does the work pretty well. The only limitation is, its not Free, however it gives you the option to try the application.
I have been using the trial version myself , it just keep reminding me about it but is not limiting me to watch more videos, So I think you can use it as well.
How does it work
Just download the software and install it. Unlike in VLS where you needed to put the URL of the particular video, you can search the whole YouTube website inside the application.
It just makes a playlist of all the related videos or all the videos of the particular channel. So that you don’t have to go back to YouTube website and search for another video.
It also have an option of Compact mode which just makes the video look like you are playing videos from your Hard Drive. The best thing is, it lets you play videos in 1080p (Full HD) if available. and also lets you download them locally.
It doesn’t at all feel like you are playing videos from YouTube. In short, it takes all the YouTube to your Desktop and lets you actually leave your browser for browsing websites and not for watching video in it.
